Pastor Hoffman - Pastor / Administrator (
Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus! My name is Pastor Hoffman and I am the fifth of five children. I grew up in Washington State. After graduating High School, I attended University of Alaska where I met my wife Christine. We were married in 1991 and have two sons. Currently, I hold degrees in Computer Science, Business Management and Communication as well as a Master of Divinity. After Seminary, I was called to serve in Anchorage Alaska and in 2015 was called to serve as the Pastor and School Administrator of Christ Lutheran Church & School. Brining Jesus and a top-notch education to the people of our community has been one of the single greatest joys of my pastoral career! I look forward to getting to know my students and their families!

Mary Robson - Fourth & Fifth Teacher (
Greetings Christ Lutheran Church and School families! My name is Ms. Mary Robson and I am thrilled to be joining this community of worship. God has called me from Cheyenne, Wyoming to come to Coos Bay and teach on the beach. I am a blessed mother of 3 daughters and one son, as well as a granddaughter and two grandsons. I have been a faithful follower of God my entire life, and an elementary educator for 12 years. I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, walking on the beach and the company of my family. I am honored to be joined by my youngest daughter Amber, who is 16 years old and we are both thrilled to be together on this adventure the Lord has provided us. I look forward to working with the amazing team of teachers at the school, as well as being part of the congregation of fellow believers. Thank you for this amazing opportunity! I look forward to meeting all of you.

Melinda Solheim - Sixth - Eighth Grade (
Hello and welcome to my class! My name is Mrs. Solheim. I am a native Californian, born and raised in a small town not much bigger than Coos Bay and North Bend combined. There were as many cows and crops as there were people. In my graduating class at Tulare Union most of my fellow graduates were kids I had known since elementary school and a handful since preschool. I am a proud Tulare Union Redskin class of 1997. I started my college education 8 months pregnant with my son in 2009, and finished my BS in Psychology in 2013. My family and I moved to Oregon in 2012, moved to North Bend in 2014, and starting teaching at Christ Lutheran in 2017. This will be my third year here as a teacher, and I love it. The staff is one of a kind! Truly an example of the love of Christ.
